Hard to call this a recipe, but I felt the need to share because Jason and I have been enjoying this dessert for the past few nights. He famously refuses to eat the same thing two days in a row, let alone for several consecutive days, so to me, this is high praise. If you’ve ever had White Moustache yogurt, this recipe is my humble interpretation of their “orange honey walnut” and “sour cherry” flavors combined.
ORANGE BLOSSOM YOGURT WITH CHERRY PRESERVES (SERVES 4)
2 cups greek yogurt (full fat)
1/2 TBSP orange blossom water
1/3 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
13 oz jar of cherry preserves, room temp1
In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the yogurt and orange blossom water. Mix well.
Add the walnuts and fold evenly into the yogurt mixture.
Serve it up in a coup or a cute tea cup and spoon the cherry preserves on top.2
Whatever preserves you choose, make sure it has some cherry chunks in it.
Be generous with the preserves! It’s the only source of sweetness, so you’ll want a decent amount.
Orange blossom yogurt is genius
I love the idea of yogurt for dessert. A greek yogurt sundae should definitely be a thing
